Will there be a 'paint out' at MacDonald House this year? If 'yes', please advise the date as I really enjoyed last year's event there. Doug

Ancaster Rural Paint Out at Ancaster, Ontario

July 27, 2014 from 10am to 3pm
 Outdoor event held at a local farm. There is approximatley 30-40 acres to explore. Mostly fields and a pond with lots of geese. There is a barn located on the property as well as the neighbours. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.   See More

Plein Airing in San Miguel

I'm not a cold weather, plein air painter and first to admit it. But I plan to do plenty of it this winter in San Miguel de Allende (SMA) Mexico where you'll find me set up in the Jardine a few times each week capturing the light of this old colonial town. If you haven't experienced SMA before you have really missed out on a mecca for artists. I also have some mini watercolour workshops planned. I'll try to post results of my SMA plein airing. Plein air artists are known for their intrepid ways and known to go into places the average mortal avoids such as fields of tall grass or thick forests.
